Right to Intellectual Property

In view of the growing importance of copyrights and industrial property rights, and given the existing legal framework for protection thereof, the Office provides protection and services in the segment of intellectual property. National and worldwide protection of trademark, patent and brand are among important projects undertaken by Law Office KOSIĆ. Beside protection, we prepare separate licensing agreements as well as copyright contracts, in particular in the fields of fashion, industrial design, media, film, and special protection of internet search engines.

Our attorneys collaborate with foreign law firms to meet the client’s needs. Law Office KOSIĆ has for many years now been yielding excellent results in a number of complex cases of copyright and industrial property right protection and recognition.
For the purposes of protection of intellectual property rights, the Office represents clients before courts and other competent authorities, especially customs administration so as to prevent distribution of goods in violation of intellectual property rights. The Office represents clients before the Intellectual Property Office in the procedure of registration and recognition of industrial property rights.

Activities of the Office in this area in the previous year were:

Preparation and execution of Contract on synchronization of the cartoon ICE AGE 2 for the American company FOX, a novelty in the field;
We represent several fashion designers in cases related to protection of copyright over their designs.
Italian fashion houses against piracy;
Procedure of dismantle of piracy products in the car industry before the custom authorities;
Defending of the interests of CNN for transmitting of information.
